Every west coaster goes to Japan these days. Most of them spend a week in Tokyo and upon return to America act as if they’ve discovered a new continent. Sometimes I wish I couldn’t understand English.

Don’t talk to me about Japan or your treks across Asia. These places aren’t something that can be consumed or bought in a lifetime, much less so in a week or even a year.
